Click-one-two was developed by Søren Peter Bjerre, who otherwise works with stainless steel on an everyday basis, but in rather bigger dimensions. He operates Alslev Rustfri Montage, a company which, with just over 60 employees, supplies process equipment primarily to the food industry.
But when Søren Peter and his wife, Susanne built a new house and laid attractive, solid wood floors, Susanne wouldn't even consider covering the holes between the floors and the radiator pipes with the plastic covers that were on the market. With a husband in the stainless steel industry, it must be possible to find a solution that could live up to the appearance of the floors. So Søren Peter had to set to work.
A fter a great many attempts with prototypes that were either too clumsy or lacked the necessary simplicity, Søren Peter Bjerre came up with a system comprising two parts that could be put together and joined like the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. This idea made it possible to easily install the usually rigid steel without the use of tools and, thanks to the weight of the steel and laser cutting, the two parts fit each other so well that they do not part when the floor is washed, for instance. And the floor can also be vacuumed without the risk of the pieces disappearing .

Susanne was finally satisfied with the little round circle of brushed steel and, during the process, the couple had got the feeling that there might be a wider public for the product.
A good friend of the family, furniture designer Morten Voss, suggested that Søren Peter and Susanne should present their product at the Formland Fair.
They did so in 2003, and the interest was not only overwhelming, Søren Peter and Susanne also won the Formland Award that year, and department stores such as Illums Bolighus and Casa Shop immediately took Click-one-two into their product range.
With the support of this recognition the couple decided to establish an independent company to sell the product.
But Søren Peter Bjerre was very busy looking after Alslev Rustfri Montage A/S, so Susanne, who was working in the health sector at the time, initially took leave of absence and later left her job. Today, she is the head of Click-one-two.
